Who We Are:

Prairie Vista Elementary School is a high-performing public elementary school in Granger, Indiana, serving grades K–5 as part of the Penn-Harris-Madison School Corporation, one of northern Indiana’s top-ranked school districts.

P-H-M ranks in the Top 5% of ILEARN Spring 2026 ILEARN performance. P-H-M students outperformed the state average again by 21.5 percentage points in English Language Arts (ELA) and 18.2 points in Mathematics. Click here to get more details and performance by grade level.

Prairie Vista is in the Top 10 of Indiana public schools that passed both ELA and Math!

Penn High School’s 2025-2026 SAT pass percentage ranks #8 in the state for SAT scores–20% above the state average. Penn High School’s graduation rate is 98%.

We are a 1:1 Technology district, which means that every student at Prairie Vista, as well as every student in the P-H-M school district, has access to their own Chromebook that they use every day in the classroom (kindergartners use iPads).

History

Prairie Vista Elementary was opened in 1989 and this state-of-the-art facility is located in a lovely, park-like setting. The grounds feature soccer fields, tennis courts, baseball diamonds and playgrounds.
