Prairie Vista Rocks Their Socks Ahead of World Down Syndrome Day
Posted on March 20, 2026Prairie Vista Elementary added a little extra color to the school day as students and staff celebrated Rock Your Socks Day one day early, on Friday, March 20.
Observed each year on March 21, alongside World Down Syndrome Day, Rock Your Socks Day encourages people to wear bright, fun, and mismatched socks. The tradition to wear the mismatched socks is to raise awareness about Down syndrome, symbolizing the uniqueness of the triplication of the 21st chromosome.
