Mr. Gardner wanted to share the message below with the Prairie Vista community:

I just wanted to take a moment and introduce myself as your new principal before I officially start January 5th. Prior to my seven years as principal of Meadow’s Edge, I spent 19 years in Elkhart Community Schools, where I taught third grade for 11 years and worked in elementary administration for eight years.

I’m a Penn grad and attended Mary Frank Elementary and Schmucker Middle School. I received my undergraduate degree from Purdue University and my master’s degree from IUSB. I attended Bethel University for my administrative coursework.

My wife, Debbie, and I have four children ages 20, 17, and 13-year-old twin boys. Outside of school, I enjoy watching sports, spending time outdoors, and cheering on the Boilermakers. I chose to work in education because I enjoy working with students and want to make an impact on our youth and throughout our community.

Gary Gardner and familyMy goal is to continue the strong tradition of excellence established at Prairie Vista. By collaborating with our talented teachers and building meaningful partnerships with families, I’m committed to creating an environment where every student can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. I look forward to meeting you and working with you and your children in the upcoming year!

Sincerely,
Gary Gardner
